Bucket List

     Hello, everyone. Today, I am going to write about my bucket list. A bucket list a list of things to do before you die. The word 'bucket list' comes from the term 'kicked the bucket'. I wish you enjoy my bucket list.

     My first list of what I want to do is to explore Antarctica. I think it is going to very amazing and beautiful to see Antarctica directly from my eyes. Also, I want to feel how cold is to live in Antarctica. I will be great if I can also see some penguins sliding over the ice. I could imagine how great it will be to explore Antarctica. ^^

     My second thing I want to do is to be a great father. I wish that after I marry, I could be a nice and helpful father for my sons or daughters. If I become a good father, my family will have a good mood. This will make everyone to be happy. To achieve this goal, I should change my behavior to be nice and gentle to other people.  

     My third thing that I want to do is to have a great leadership. As I said in the post "Reflection", I talked about that I want to have a good leadership. Having a great leadership is a excellent thing to have. We can have many people's love if we have a fascinating leadership. I wish that I could go back to my home with a better leadership than before.

     My fourth thing that I want to achieve is to visit the Sydney Opera House. This place is one of the most valuable place in the world. The Sydney Opera House is the place where they perform arts in North Wales, Australia. The reason why I want to go is because I want to see how beautiful that place is and how popular they are.

     My fifth thing in my bucket list is to visit the Eiffel Tower. When I was very young, I really wanted to go there. The Eiffel Tower is a iron tower, which is in Paris, France. This tower is 324 meters long and I think that the Eiffel tower is shaped like an arch. Many people put an effort to construct the tower. I wonder how I would feel if I go to see Eiffel Tower.

     Now coming to my sixth list, which is that I want to explore the Iguazu Falls. The Iguazu Falls is the waterfall bordering around the Brazilian state. This fall is approximately twenty three kilometers long. It is popular for its great view. I think it will be very interesting to see Iguazu Falls.

     Lastly, I want to stay a night in an ice hotel. It will be very interesting, but also amazing to live in an ice hotel. I want to measure how cold or hot it is inside the ice hotel. I will also see if the ice is going to melt or not.

Reflection

    Hello, everyone! If you can remember what I post before three weeks, you might know what I am going to write about. Today , I am trying to reflect on how well I achieve my goals, and any other revisions that I need to make. I wish you enjoy it! 

     My first goal was to get many green cards in GLPS(Global Leadership Program for Students). Fortunately, I personally think that I did a great job on this goal. I do not have many yellow cards or red cards. Exactly, I have eleven green cards, one yellow card, and no red card. I listen carefully and been nice to the teachers. Also, I never fought or steal something with my friends in GLPS. I have four days left until this camp finishes. I wish that I could get a prize being a great behavior during one month in camp.

     My second goal is to get more knowledgeable. I think that I also achieve this goal. I personally wanted to achieve the first goal the best. I had to listen to teachers carefully to achieve this goal. Fortunately, as I listen to teachers carefully, I naturally became more knowledgeable. I now knew some other words that I did not know. Also, I know how to post a blog, many informations about Roman, and how to debate well.

     My third goal was to be successful in pop song contest. I think I almost succeeded that goal too. Our classmates did the best doing the pop song contest. We sang a song called 'Everything about You'. It was very fun and exciting to do the pop song contest. We said to ourselves that we did a great job and happily finished to contest.

     I want to add one more goal to my original goals. I want to success having lots of leaderships! I had some leaderships when I  became the president in Ken-do class and during the pop song contest. However, I want to have more leaderships. I wish that I could have 100% of leaderships and go back to my home! 

      These are the goals that I reflect and added. I wish that I can achieve the added goal, which is having a great leadership. Thank you for reading my reflection of my goals!

Diamante Poem

     Today, I am going to write two diamante poem. One for a synonym poem and one for antonym poem. First of all, for synonym poem, I am going to write about books. Then, for my antonym poem, I am going to write the differences between cats and mice. I wish you enjoy my diamante poems.

Photo Essay

     Hello, my name is Matthew. From Monday, I started to took a picture every day. These pictures remind me what happened that day. Today, I am trying to talk about those pictures about my life in GLPS(Global Leadership Program for Students). I hope you enjoy my photo essay!^^

     -Picture #1-  

This picture was taken on Monday when I was working in the first self-study time. I was working to finish my history presentation. It was really hard for me to take this picture because you are not suppose to do anything else without works. However, my friend borrowed me his computer, and I took this picture. By the end of the first self-study time, I finished my history homework. I thought that I was in a heaven because I was ready to talk about my Roman history  presentation. I could hear people playing around in the other room, while you need to work quietly. 

     -Picture #2-

      This picture was taken by my friend me talking about an award called Darwin Award. Talking about the Darwin Award was one of my speech that I introduced to my classmates. I first talked the definition of the Darwin Award. Then I told them the history of Darwin Award. Lastly, I told them how to get a Darwin Award, who got a Darwin Award, and how dangerous the Darwin Award is. I was comfortable, but sometimes nervous when I was speaking. I heard that my classmates were interested in this topic. I felt that I was going to be inside 3rd place in our class-speech contest.

     As you can see in this picture, I was presenting history presentation. I was talking about a topic called Roman technology. I told about Roman roads, bridges, aqueducts, dams, and military technology. I felt that I am very nervous, but also comfortable. After I finished talking about those facts, I felt that I will be inside 3rd place. I could hear our classmates clapping to me after I finished my presentation.

     This picture was a picture when I was working in the second-self study time. I was working on my debate script because our classmates will debate with the other class tomorrow. I discuss with my friends some arguments and predicted some rebuttals. I heard many students and teachers talking because almost all of the students were here to talk about their debate. I smelled that my friend was eating chips. I took some of his chips and went back to work on my debate again.

     This picture is a picture when I was working with classmates in the writing class. We worked on the creative writing and photo essay. However, I already finished writing my creative writing, so I wrote the first draft of the photo essay. It was very interesting to write about my photo essay. I liked to write those essays in the writing class. I wish that I could work more in the writing class.

     I pictured myself working on a another history

presentation. This time, I had to write about Roman military weapons. I wrote about some personal weapons, and some inventions, such as Ballista, Ballistae, Siege tower, and Battering Ram. It was very interesting to research this topic. I wrote my script and also made the handouts for the audience. I wish that this history presentation will also be successful.

     This is my last picture about my Photo Essay. This photo is when I was watching people doing their history presentation and speech contest. I was writing a suggestion and a compliment for the speaker.  I really liked their speeches and history presentation. I wish that I could listen what they were talking again.

      This is about my one week Photo Essay. It was very interesting to take a picture and describe it with the sentences. I wish that I had one more project to write about my photos.

    

      

Creative Writing

The Mysterious Land

     It was a year of 4832 where many lands appeared. There was a boy named Henry. He lives with his father and mother. One day, Henry found an atlas on his favorite book, The Undiscovered Lands. In the map, there was a small island on the center of the Pacific Ocean. In the legend, it said that if you go inside the waterspout in the center of the Pacific Ocean, you will go to that island. Henry was very curious and interested. He wanted to go to that island.

He talked with his parents, but his parents kept on saying no. However, with Henry's great convince, his parents said yes. His father, Smith said that he will go with him for the safety. They went to rent a boat and started to go ahead to the center of the Pacific Ocean.

After few hours later, they saw a small thing in front of them. They were very curious, and went toward that small thing. The 'small thing' started to look bigger and bigger, and bigger. They recognized that it was a waterspout! The wind started to blow harder, and the wave started to come faster. The boat started to crash and the emergency bell rang! They did not think about anything

and jump toward the waterspout! They open their eyes after few seconds. They saw a beautiful land in front of them. It was a mysterious island! They were very happy and started to make many things. They cut the trees and made a tree house. They also brought some sharp rocks and cut the fruits and plants. 

One day, when Henry was walking around to find rocks, he saw something glittering thing buried inside the ground. He dig that thing, and recognized that it was a book.The title was The Island of the Pacific Ocean. He read he book for a hour. However, he was really surprised. There was a writing that said, "The zombies are going to come out on Winter. WATCH OUT." There were only six days left until the Winter comes. His father and he started to make swords and a bomb for their protections. Making those things took five days! What are they going to do?

Movie Review

     Today, I am going to write the movie review about "The Wizard of Oz".

This movie is made in 1937 by Frank Baum. Because it was publish in 19th century, some of the film has no color in it. This movie has lots of educations and leaderships. The movie uses many characters and creativity, which makes the movie interesting.

     The genre of this movie is classic fiction or fantasy. The characters are Dorothy, a lion, a tic man, the wizards, the dog,Toto, a scare crow, Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, and munchkins  Dorothy wants to go back to her home after she comes to munchkins'  land. A lion wants to have courage because he has lots of fears. A tic man wants heart, and a scare crow wants a brain.

As a movie starts, the tornado starts to blow and Dorothy falls down, imagines the world of munchkins.

 In the world of munchkins  she saw a kind and beautiful wizard. The kind wizard gave her a pair of red shoes that has a magical power for the protection. Dorothy runs to find the way to go out. She met a lion, a tic man, and a scare crow. They wanted to go with Dorothy. While they were finding the way to go out, an evil and ugly wizard makes her workers to capture Dorothy. The lion, the tic man, and the scare crow goes to her castle to save Dorothy. After they rescue her, they met a man and the kind wizard. The man and a kind wizard help them to achieve their goals. As Dorothy goes back to her home by the kind wizard's help, the movie ends. The settings of this movie are the evil wizard's castle, in Dorothy's home(In Census) and in her farm.

     In think that this movie is very romantic and good because it is very educational and creative. however, I think that it was too childish for me to watch the movie. If someone becomes the age of 12 like me, they want to see something like nonfiction movies. There are lots of leaderships in the movie. Dorothy, the main character leads the group by her great leaderships. Also, she have been very brave to lead the group and fight against the evil wizard. I wish that I could be like Dorothy too! Thank you. 

My Three Goals

I am going to set three goals for my thirty days in GLPS. The reason that I set up my goals are because I saw the video of Matt Cutt and I thought that I should also set up goals like him.     My first goal is to get many green cards in GLPS. There are green cards, yellow cards, and red cards in GLPS.

When you get a green card, it means that you did something good or well. When you get a yellow or red card, it means that you did not follow the rules of GLPS. To get many green cards, I should not speak Korean. We only have to speak English. Also, we need to be nice to teachers. We also have to concentrate during class and never be late to class.  

    My second goal is to become more knowledgeable. To achieve this goal, I have to listen to teachers carefully. Also, I have to write some important things that teachers say. Further more, I have to study hard during the study time. 

     Lastly, my third goal is to be successful in the pop song contest. We are going to have the pop song contest in some days. I have to practice a lot with m teammates. Also, I have to memorize lyrics and rhythm. And I should not be shy when I am doing concert.

      This was my three goals for thirty days. Thank you!
